WHERE CAN I APPLY?


Passport services are currently unavailable at both the Beatley Central Library and Barrett Branch.

 

Passport services will resume when the library enters Phase Four of the reopening plan.

 

 

 

PLEASE NOTE

  • Please be advised that we reserve the right to close our waiting list early depending on the time available for processing applications.

 

  • Daily wait lists often fill up quickly; please arrive early.

 

  • When you arrive, check in at the Information Desk.

 

  • If you are traveling internationally within 2 weeks, please schedule an appointment at a passport agency by calling 1-877-487-2778.

 

WHAT INFORMATION DO I NEED?

Please bring the following materials:

NOTE: Children ages 15 and under need both parents to be present. Teens between the ages of 16-17 should have at least one parent present at the time of application.

 

 

WHERE CAN I GET A PHOTO?

The following locations near the Beatley Central and Barrett Branch locations offer passport photos for purchase:

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The Department of State requires two separate payments for each passport application. A summary of applicable fees is provided below. Please click here for a full fee schedule.

  • Passport application fee: Applicants must pay passport application and expedited processing fees directly to the Department of State with a check or money order made payable to “U.S. Department of State”. These fees will be sent to the Department of State with each passport application.
  • Execution fee: Applicants must pay a $35 processing fee to the Alexandria Library with cash, check (no starter checks), or a money order. The check or money order should be made out to “Alexandria Library."
