In a world where every action is monitored and recorded by The Tangle, a pervasive network of nanobots, the unimaginable happens: someone is murdered, and no record of the event exists. The crime itself should be impossible because the nanobots connect to each individual’s nervous system to inhibit violence. The mystery becomes more convoluted as the corpse is found in a room locked from the inside; physical evidence gives no clue about the culprit, method, or motive. A small team of agents, shielded by special suits and working in isolated rooms, must work from outside The Tangle to unravel the enigma.

Set in the late 21st century where people remember the internet as “the old www,” the production starts with a steady stream of future-noir slang and style that may be confusing at first. The ensemble cast and crafty screenplay are well worth the wait for the plot to come into focus. A patient viewer will be rewarded with a weirdly intriguing and clever whodunit in which everything eventually becomes clear.
